Smart graphics for visual people
Michel Laplane told me about his relatively new Visio blog a few weeks ago, and I thought I’d share the link with you today.

Web pages and printed paper are fine for the bus ride home. But today’s knowledge worker grew up in a TV age and is used to getting information from moving pictures with audio.
Plus, everyone but me has a cell-phone (handy, mobile) capable of streaming video over the internet, so why read, even on the bus?
I’ve compiled a list of eight place to find videos related to Visio. You’ll find videos that: show you how to use features and create specific diagrams, offer general training, and augment written articles with video explanations.
There are tons of megabytes of animated content out there, so…watch…on!
A lot of Windows users do network-related stuff with Visio. And for you hard-working folks, life just got a bit easier!
Microsoft just released a nifty add-in for Visio 2007 Pro that lets you utilize rack-server data from Excel or from the user and create Visio diagrams that make analysis a snap.
We held off doing this as long as possible, mostly because there are several other forums devoted to Visio (see:Visio Newsgroups and Discussion Boards)
But thanks to your enthusiasm and interest, the Comments feature of this web-site has become overloaded!
So we’ve added the Visio Guy Forums, where you can post questions, discuss issues, and share solutions with each other. You can also get to the forums by clicking the FORUM item at the right-end of the page navigation bar.
We haven’t linked the user registrations from this site to the forum yet, so you’ll have to create a new log in (sorry!), but the process is pretty painless. See you on the other side!
Of course, you can read messages as a Guest, but registered users can download posted attachments and participate in polls!
Well the Microsoft Office Visio Conference 2008 has come and gone, and attendees enjoyed sharin’ info, gettin’ educated, and havin’ fun.
