Save As Web Link Problem: Visio 2003 & IE7
There has been a lot of buzz in the newsgroups about Save As Web hyperlinks not functioning correctly when exporting from Visio 2003 and viewing in Internet Explorer 7. Evidently the problem is only for Visio 2003 and IE7, and when the export uses VML as it’s output.
VML is the Vector Markup Language that enables the rich, vector-based web-export, with all the cool features like Zoom and Search. When Visio exports to html using this format, it structures hyperlinks and sub-links in a way that IE7 doesn’t support.
Two parties that have researched the problem in detail have posted workarounds and tools to address the issue:

The folks over in Redmond on the Microsoft Visio Team have published this article that describes the problem and proposes two work-arounds.

I looked at and loaded the Visio Hyperlink Corrector; and have absolutely no idea what it does, how it’s invoked, etc.
hate to be publically stupid, but there wasn’t any documentation included with it, so I have to resort to ATD; Ask The Developer..

Summary: The Correction tool for Visio HTML export corrects a bug in the Webexport-functionality of Visio 2003 in combination with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7).
The tool is given away without any implied or explicit warranties. DataAssist is not liable for any damages the tool makes on the files – the user accepts that the usage of the tool is on own risk.
The tool is used as follows:
1. Create the HTML export with the option that supporting files should be placed in a subdirectory
2. Run the correction tool and point it to the subdirectory created in step 1
3. Let the tool make the corrections
4. DONE

n Visio 2003, when I create a hyperlink it does not show as hand symbol in a
Web page. A message repeating the name of the shape and the text “Click to
follow hyperlink” is displayed. lWeb pages that I made 3 years ago, also from
Visio 2003, do show the hand. When I open the old drawings and save them, the
hand symbol is replaced with the name of the shape and the “Click to follow
hyperlink” message.
How can I “get the hand back”?

I am facing a problem getting the Visio Corrector Tool to work.I did install it, but when I try to run it its posting an Application Error – The application failed to initialized properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application
Can you guys please help.
